About Us

Boyett Properties is a real estate development firm that was founded by Jim Boyett in 1978. They have provided complete business environments to a wide range of clientele, including insurance companies, restaurants, retail stores, light manufacturing companies, distribution centers and more.

The Boyett Properties story began when Jim Boyett and his Father, Van Boyett saw the potential in a 186-acre parcel of land adjacent to the Miami International Airport. The site was surrounded by 400 acres of lakes known to the Miami community as Blue Lagoon. After securing an investor, Boyett Properties transformed the site into a prestigious corporate park known as Blue Lagoon Corporate Center. The master-planned park has been home to such notable companies as Prudential, Canon, the Discovery Channel, Federal Express, Estee Lauder, Hilton Hotel, Hotel Sofitel, Sony, Mass Mutual and more.

The Blue Lagoon Corporate Center (now known as Waterford at Blue Lagoon) was sold in 1989. Four years later, Jim began working in Greenville, SC, focusing on development in the upstate.

Each member of the Boyett Properties team brings his or her own talents, insights and expertise to the work at hand, and all come together to offer a streamlined, comprehensive approach to commercial real estate development.
